FIRMWARE
We have acquired software and and EEPROM burner for upgrading the firmware for the 5/40E & 5/80E series E processors. If you need your firmware updated to enable communication to CLogix, contact us. Depending on the age and current levels we “may” be able to update. AB / Rockwell no longer does this for customers. NOTE This is not always successful, and some in the past have reported turning the processor into a “Brick”. But our current experience shows that we can do it successfully. We have detailed videos on how to do a 5/40E Series E from F/W B to K. Total viewing time for the 3 videos is 44 minutes.
5/10 – 5/11 – 5/12 – 5/15 – 5/25 – 5/30 – 5/40L Special order only 5/20B – 5/40B or 5/60B are better replacements for any of the above. You can always replace a smaller processor with a larger processor. The price to you, will depend upon what we have to pay for them! Contact us for a quote on these older processors
